Emilio Estevez hosts free screening of “The Public” at Mpls Central Library

Emilio Estevez answered questions about his new library-themed feature film, “The Public,” on Sunday, March 17, at Hennepin County Library—Minneapolis Central.

The screening was open to the public and were available on a first-come, first-served basis. The film opens in Twin Cities theaters on April 5.

Estevez attended the screening and participated in an audience Q&A session after the movie.

Estevez (“Mighty Ducks,” “Breakfast Club”) directs and stars in the movie, which is about downtown Cincinnati librarians who had their “winter day shaken up when homeless patrons decide to take shelter in their library for the night.” The film, which is being pre-screened at libraries across the U.S., will be distributed by Greenwich Entertainment and NBCUNiversal.
