Target to add 100,000 seasonal employees for holiday season

Target announced that they will hire approximately 100,000 team members in anticipation for the holiday season. Retail stores across the United States will be hiring, and Target also announced intentions to hire 4,500 team members for their distribution centers as well.

The announcement comes just two weeks after the re-opening of the remodeled Nicollet Mall store in downtown Minneapolis. Target is re-envisioning their retail strategy, both physically and digitally, and they point to the Nicollet store as a blueprint for store renovations that will take place in the coming years. The Nicollet store renovation reflects Target’s commitment to downtown Minneapolis.

Target will be hosting a nationwide hiring event at every Target store on October 13-15 from 10 am to 6 pm local time. Prospective seasonal team members can apply as soon as today, however. Target will be hiring for a variety of different positions as they prepare for the holidays.
