Winterfest in Loring Park took place on Friday, February 19 and featured a collection of activities for those in attendance to enjoy. The event is put on annually by Citizens for a Loring Park Community, and in collaboration with the mpls downtown council the event featured free skating at the Wells Fargo Minneapolis WinterSkate, bonfires and s’mores, carriage rides, festive lighting and much more.

The warm evening helped bring out a great crowd throughout the event. A steady group of people from the community gathered together to enjoy the festivities, take a carriage ride through the park, and snap photos at the WinterSkate Instagram frame. Take a look at the photo gallery above from the event.

The Wells Fargo Minneapolis WinterSkate opened November 23 and is open daily through March 1. Complimentary skates are available in the Warming House courtesy of CenterPoint Energy, and the full listing of warming house hours can be found on the WinterSkate page.
