photos: mdc member forum featuring “tech in the city”

The mpls downtown council and the Minnesota High Tech Association teamed up for a membership forum focused on “tech in the city” on March 28. The event, hosted and sponsored by Shorenstein, took place at 100 Washington Square and focused on the continued growth and development of the tech industry here in Mpls.

Approximately 100 members registered for the event, which featured a panel that included MHTA President & CEO Margaret Anderson Kelliher and a panel consisting of Amazon MSP Office General Manager Ari Silkey, YA Vice President of Engineering Doug Holmgren and Dunwoody College of Technology President Rich Wagner.

The conversation included what is necessary to sustain tech growth in Mpls, how to attract and retain talent in the field, why downtown is attracting tech companies and more.
