The Nicollet Farmers Market and Nicollet Makers Market, MNSpin live music, free lawn games, and piano performances wrapped up Sept. 30, but you can still enjoy fun activities on Thursdays downtown. Nicollet Farmers Market and Makers Market
The Nicollet Farmers Market has returned #OnNicollet after a one-year hiatus. All your favorite farmers will be joined by the Nicollet Makers Market throughout the summer for the best combined food and craft shopping experience downtown. Browse dozens of great produce and products, all while enjoying Nicollet as a fully pedestrian thoroughfare. All buses are re-routed during Farmers Market and Makers Market hours. Plus, enjoy great Street Show performances, produced by Mpls DID and Hennepin Theatre Trust in collaboration with The Warming House, on Nicollet between 9:30 am and 2 pm each Thursday!
Pianos on Parade
Pianos on Parade presented by PNC Bank return this summer with pianos placed throughout downtown June through August. This year’s pianos are being painted through artist collaborations with Kulture Klub Collaborative, FAIR School, Art Buddies and other local artists to reflect a theme of A Vibrant Downtown. Pianos will be available for the public to share their gift of music, and they will also have more than 90 scheduled performances. Mpls Street Art Festival
Enjoy the Downtown Mpls Street Art Festival beginning Thursday, Aug. 12. Watch as 16 artists create beautiful chalk and spray-paint masterpieces between 6th & 8th Streets #OnNicollet. There will be live music–including a free live concert by Nur-D, Lieutenant Sunnie and MPLS Drew on Aug. 12–an array of food trucks, lawn games and an opportunity for you to create your own chalk art! Target Field Station movie nights
