Good Morning Minneapolis focuses on tourism, wayfinding and Super Bowl LII

The mpls downtown council, Meet Minneapolis and the Minneapolis Regional Chamber of Commerce hosted its final Good Morning Minneapolis breakfast of 2017 on October 27. The morning focused on Tourism, Wayfinding and Super Bowl LII.

The Good Morning Minneapolis, hosted by The Grand Hotel, featured a conversation by Meet Minneapolis director of market research and public policy Kevin Hanstad, mpls downtown council & Downtown Improvement District president & ceo Steve Cramer, and Minnesota Super Bowl Host Committee Senior VP of Marketing and Sales Wendy Blackshaw.

A region’s ability to attract national and international events and conferences is dependent on the perception of a city, the strength of its infrastructure and the promotion of its assets and attractions. Meet Minneapolis’ tourism master plan, Destination Transformation 2030, is a private/public partnership formed to ensure that this region can leverage upcoming events, like Super Bowl LII, to enhance current efforts. This panel focused portions of the plan, spoke to infrastructure issues like wayfinding and shared information on Super Bowl LII preparations and special events.

This year’s Good Morning Minneapolis breakfasts were made possible thanks to presenting sponsor Xcel Energy and series sponsor BMO Harris Bank.
