Workers History Bike Tour

Tickets on sale beginning July 1

Experience Minneapolis history through the stories of working people in one of the most bike-friendly cities in the country. Learn about the Gateway District’s history as a haven (and epicenter of vice) for off-season railroad workers and lumberjacks, uncover the dangers of the sawmilling industry at Boom Island Park, hear about undercover reporting by activist Eva Valesh, and pedal through the Mill District in the former flour milling capital of the world.

This tour covers 5 miles and goes at a leisurely pace. It is suitable for novice bike riders, ages 12 and up. Those without a bike can rent one at a nearby Nice Ride station. This tour will begin and end outside of Mill City Museum. Cost is $20; members save 20%.

Participants must wear helmets and sign our safety waiver. Our tour will take place rain or shine. Please note, our interior museum gallery is temporarily closed.
