The Center for Victims of Torture is honored to invite you to join us for the 2025 Restoring Hope Breakfast to celebrate 40 years of hope and healing. What began as a bold vision to heal the wounds of torture in St. Paul, Minnesota has grown into a global movement for healing, justice, and human dignity. At this special anniversary event, we’ll honor the survivors, advocates, and community members who have shaped CVT’s legacy, and reflect on four decades of powerful stories, life-changing care, and unwavering commitment to human rights.
As we celebrate this historic moment, we do so with full awareness of the challenges facing our work today. In a time of rising injustice and painful funding cuts, this year’s breakfast carries added urgency. It is a chance to recommit ourselves to the values that launched CVT 40 years ago: compassion, courage, and the unshakable belief that healing is always possible, and to ensure that CVT can continue its healing work for 40 more years and beyond.
