Over the past 30 years, Minneapolis tunesmith Sven-Erik Olsen has done it all – power pop, big band jazz, noise, bluegrass, musical theater – everything, that is, except strike out on his own: until now. His debut proper, Sketchbook Traces, arrived in September 2017 and is a distillation of his unique musical vision: distinctive synthesis of his myriad influences, from Burt Bacharach to Bob Dylan, from the Louvin Brothers to the Zombies. He continues to play throughout North America as a solo act and as the leader of indie pop act Paperbacks.
