The Bird Hosts Union Kitchen for 5 Pop Up Dates This Summer

WHO: The Bird, Loring Park’s breakfast and lunch joint by day, private event and pop up space by night, is kicking off their pop up series with 5 dates from Chef Yia Vang and Chris Her of Union Kitchen this summer.   The Bird is hoping to collaborate with local chefs and food trucks by giving them an opportunity to use the space.

 

WHAT:  June 16th Union Kitchen Pop Up Menu

 

Popcorn Chicken…Heart

Tempura fried chicken heart. Roasted Garlic Aioli. Chives

 

with Purple Sticky Rice

Hmong Sausage. Dried Beef w/ Lamb Seasoning. Pok Pok Radish Salad. Tiger Bite Sauce

 

Carmel Chicken

Quail Eggs. Bamboo Shoots. Steam Rice. Pork Oil

 

Smoked Mushroom Rice Bowl (V)

Pickled Carrots. Soft Egg. Kimchi. Grilled Bok Choy

 

Laotian Fried Chicken

Vinegar Peanuts. Pickled Fresno Chili. Scallion. Cilantro

 

Grilled Pork Chop

Bibb Lettuce. Vermicelli Noodles. Cucumbers. Thai Basil. Mint. Piri-Piri

 

Beer, wine and cocktail pairings available.

 

WHEN: Union Kitchen Pop Ups – Fridays, 5pm-9pm: June 16, June 30, July 14, July 28, August 4.  Reservations and tickets are not required.  Menus for future pop up dates will be available at www.thebirdmpls.rocks or http://www.unionkitchenmn.com.
