CenterPoint Energy gives $5k toward ending street homelessness initiatives

CenterPoint Energy gave $5,000 toward the mpls downtown council’s 2025 Plan Ending Street Homelessness committee’s mission on Monday during its committee meeting in downtown Minneapolis. The check, which was presented to the Ending Street Homeless Committee by CenterPoint Energy team members Al Swintek, Beth Brown and Rachel Shields. The gift will be put toward the committee’s work helping those in need throughout the downtown community.

One of the 2025 plan’s initiatives is to end street homelessness in our city by the year 2025. Work currently being done by the committee includes supporting local street outreach, working on supplying storage spaces for those in need, and providing a platform for giving to those in need. As part of an effort to help our community best give back, a new website launched last year with information on how to donate your time or expertise, or give financially in a way that will best help those experiencing in our community.
