Downtown by Design is a 10-year vision for downtown Minneapolis created through a thoughtful and engaging process reflective of the perspectives and support of a broad group of stakeholders.

Minneapolis is a resilient city that has been in a constant state of evolution since its founding. Downtown by Design is crafted to innovate now and improve over time. The plan is user-centric and collaborative, ensuring that multiple points of view or not just heard, but included.
The goal of Downtown by Design is to rise to the moment, employ design thinking, and develop a compelling 10-year vision for Downtown Minneapolis through a thoughtful and engaging process reflective of the perspectives and support of a broad group of stakeholders.
Right now, today, the people who love and believe in downtown Minneapolis can seize a critical moment where we act to set the city on a path to its brightest future yet. The 2035 Vision serves to unite the leaders, entrepreneurs, innovators, proud residents, and supporters of Downtown Minneapolis on that path.
